Life’s a Portobello Beach Race

Each year Portobello running club aims to host a race along the dunes of Portobello beach and promenade.

The race starts on the Prom outside the Dalriada Hotel and runners head onto the beach at the Joppa Pumping Station and head towards the Cat and Dogs home. After the turn the route follows the water’s edge back to the Joppa Pumping Station before turning up onto the Promenade again for a fast finish at the Dalriada.

To complete the race you may have to negotiate wooden groynes – so be prepared to either vault or get your feet wet!

This years race will be held on 03/09/2023.
